Best Western Dry Creek Inn

Remember your grade school report cards? Were you excited when you received a “plus” after your grade for that extra effort?  Welcome to the Best Western Plus Dry Creek Inn. This family owned hotel merits a plus in its name because they offer extras such as a sauna and steam room.  With an AAA 3 Diamond Award rating, the property features 163 guestrooms. I also noticed cotton robes in the closets and my personal favorite, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby.

Tuscan Elegance in the Wine Country

There are two wings to the Best Western Dry Creek; the newer Tuscan building, opened in 2008, with 60 non-smoking rooms (no pets allowed) and the pet-friendly Vintage Building with 103 deluxe rooms.

Tuscan Deluxe King

"Deluxe King Room"

Best Western Dry Creek Deluxe King Room #510 with Balcony

My room, #510, was a deluxe king room with a gas fireplace, small, private balcony and rented for $150 during my April visit. The balcony looked onto a lovely Tuscan-themed piazza.  I didn’t have a chance to try out the jetted soaking tub, but I appreciated that my room offered the choice of a shower or tub. The plus side, the low flow shower heads are good for the environment and must be saving the property a ton of money on their water bill. The downside, I would have loved more water pressure.

Kid and Pet-friendly Vintage Building

I didn’t stay in the Vintage building, but this is the best bet for families wanting multiple beds or those looking for dog-friendly lodging.  The pet fee is a reasonable $30 per night. The property also offers a complimentary breakfast served from 6-1o a.m. on site and wine tasting on Friday evenings. The kids will enjoy the outdoor pool.
