The Mile High City continues reshaping its footprint with hotel renovations and new builds. With 2023 behind them, 2024’s hotel industry continues to reinvent itself with renovations and new hotels lining its impressive skyline. Below we’ve updated the scoop on the new Denver hotels in the metro area and throughout Colorado, recently renovated, opened, or with plans to open in 2024 and beyond.
As a long-time Colorado resident, I’ve updated the growth in the Denver Metro and Colorado regions for the past few years. Each year, lodging offerings in Denver and throughout Colorado continue to go through a renaissance. Now into 2024, the lodging options are just one of the many reasons why visitors travel to Denver and Colorado. (Of course, Denver also offers 300 days of sunshine, a walkable downtown, an impressive arts, culture, and culinary scene, and a view of the Rocky Mountains.
Denver is home to more than 13,000 rooms within walking distance of the Colorado Convention Center. Always popular nearby hotels are the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel (review coming soon!), Hyatt Regency Denver, Hilton Denver City Center, and Westin Downtown Denver, as well as the historic Brown Palace. (Read More about Downtown Denver hotels.)
Its booming hotel industry extends into metro Denver with over 51,000 first-class hotel rooms, all linked to downtown via highways or the light rail.

This B&B is convenient to many Denver neighborhoods including Downtown Denver/Lodo, Larimer Square, Union Station, LoHi, Cherry Creek, and RiNo. (Stays at B&Bs are definitely at the top of my list, and check back as a review on this historic gem is upcoming in the next few weeks.)
Opened in 2023, located at the corner of Colfax Avenue and 14th Street, Populus at Civic Center changed the skyline of downtown Denver. A stone’s throw from the Colorado State Capitol, this new hotel project is pegged to become the “new social center” of downtown.
