With more than 70 hotels and resorts in Scottsdale, travelers have always had a wealth of great options to choose from when planning a getaway. And with the recent debut of the ADERO Scottsdale, an Autograph Collection hotel, the list of contenders for your desert escape is even longer.
Inspired by its Sonoran Desert backyard, the ADERO Scottsdale stretches 17 acres and boasts striking views of Arizona’s famed Four Peaks and McDowell Mountain Range from just about every turn.
The six-story property features 177 guest rooms and suites. There are five different room categories; all boast a similar feel with a color scheme inspired by desert sunrises. I stayed in a Mountain View Room with two queen beds located on the second floor.
The room was spacious offering plenty of room for two, and likely just enough for a family of four. USB ports and electric plugs were easy to access on the side of the nightstand in between the pair of beds. The bathroom was notably well lit, with a generous single-sink vanity and large walk in shower.

A sliding glass door on the room’s exterior wall led the way to the patio and filled with room with natural light. All rooms offer a patio or balcony, and per the property, more than 95 percent of its rooms offer a mountain vista view. For those traveling without children, the ADERO also offers an adult-only wing.
You could easily linger in your guest room here, but truthfully you’d be missing out. The ADERO Scottsdale features an onsite health and fitness club that makes for an amenity-rich hotel guest experience.
Both the resort pool and adults-only lap pool come with photo-worthy views. Tennis courts are lighted, giving you more opportunities to fit in a game. Fitness classes range from sunrise yoga and meditation, to Pilates and cycling classes on Peloton spin bikes. Many classes are covered by the hotel resort fee, but others require an additional fee.
There is a one-mile nature trail conveniently located on hotel grounds; the Adero Canyon Trailhead is about a 1.5-mile walk from the resort. Shuttle service to the trailhead and anywhere within a five-mile radius is covered by the ADERO’s daily resort fee.
CEILO restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. For the best desert views, grab an outside table.
The ADERO is less than 20 miles from Old Town Scottsdale, home to hundreds of shops, restaurants, art galleries, and Scottsdale Stadium, the baseball spring training home of the San Francisco Giants. Plan on a 30-minute drive from the resort to the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Rates for a Mountain View Room start at $440. There is also a daily resort fee of $35 that covers a number of things including, but not limited to, a welcome drink upon arrival, a reusable ADERO logoed Tote bag, and a reusable water bottle. You can compare rates at Hotels.com.
