Natural hot springs at Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs, California

"Spa Resort Casino"

Often referred to as Hollywood’s desert playground, Palm Springs is a place to relax, escape and unwind.  While it may seem ironic to soak in a tub of hot water in the desert, taking the waters at Spa Resort Casino is actually one of the best ways to unwind in Palm Springs. There is nothing fancy or pretentious about this spa. In fact, I’d consider this a value hotel with its 229 rooms, casino and three pools. Locals think of the Spa Resort Casino as a good place to hang out with friends for the day, especially when happy hour pricing kicks in at the pool.

Smokers welcome

Unlike the majority of California hotels and restaurants, those who like to indulge in a cigarette will not be frowned on at this particular property. As the Spa Resort Casino is Native American owned and operated, hotel guests are allowed to smoke in designated rooms on the first floor of the resort. On the flip side, if you suffer from allergies, the Spa Resort Casino features 17 “Pure Rooms” for an extra charge of $20 per night, per room.

The spa’s signature service is the “Taking of the Waters,” a five-step process that includes sauna, steam, eucalyptus inhalation, followed with a soak in your own private sunken tub of natural mineral waters.

Palm Canyon Drive

Located minutes from Palm Canyon Drive, Spa Resort Casino is ideally situated near shopping and restaurants and offers views of the San Jacinto Mountain range. The large pool is the place for swimming, while the two smaller mineral pools offer water temperatures of varying degrees.

Casino Gaming

For those who like to gamble, the casino offers slots, high-limit video poker and table games. While you’re there, check out The Steakhouse, with it’s USDA prime meats and Wine Spectator award-winning wine list.
