While airport hotels can sometimes be noisy, they are most always superior in insuring that you will not miss your flight to your next destination. Our stay at Staybridge Suites London Heathrow extended stay hotel was not only convenient, it was quiet, too.
As the name implies, Staybridge Suites London is designed for the extended stay hotel guest. This property was a duel branded hotel with Holiday Inn offering a gym and restaurant shared with Staybridge Suites. We selected Staybridge Suites London for its proximity to London Heathrow International Airport and because the property was an all-suites London hotel.
With 190 rooms, the 5-story property in West Drayton was clean and quiet. That last word bears repeating because we were literally right next door to Heathrow Airport and I was concerned it might be noisy. We stayed at Hilton London Gatwick on another trip, but this was our first stay by Heathrow. It worked fine for us to take the Underground and then a bus to our stop directly across from the 4-star IHG hotel.
I broke from my rule of booking the least expensive hotel room category because we were traveling as a party of three and needed an extra hotel room. The room was perfect for our one night stay in that it offered a one-bedroom suite, allowing us all a bit of privacy.
Our room #229, offered a view of the parking lot, but was large in size. It featured a kitchenette, air-conditioning, free wifi, flat screen tv in each room and a shared bathroom. The bathroom included a walk in shower with Antipodes fig & feijoa shampoo and conditioner.
Drink and dining at Staybridge Suites London
I wasn’t delighted with the dining options, but one can always wonder off property. There was a bar and Hi Pizza restaurant in the Holiday Inn property next door. The bar served cocktails, beer, wine, Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate. We used our complimentary drink coupons as we are IHG reward members.
The complimentary breakfast included with your Staybridge Suites London Heathrow hotel was good. It included fresh baked pastries, breads, yogurt and a hot buffet. Meats such as sausage links and bacon were offered in addition to eggs.

The pet-friendly hotel offers 4 room categories, from studio suite to king bed suite. Rates start at 139 sterling. Parking is available at the hotel for an additional fee. There are 35 electric car charging stations on property. Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. with check-out at noon. However, if you are IHG members you can see if your room is available for early check-in (our was) and ask for a late check-out if they have flexibility. Book your stay directly at the hotel website, or compare rates and make reservations at Expedia or Booking.com.
There is no complimentary shuttle to Heathrow International Airport, but there is a Hoppa Bus that stops at each hotel. Allow at least 30 minutes to get to Heathrow Airport, as Staybridge is one of the first pick-up spots on route to the airport. If efficiency is important to you, take an Uber to the airport as it is a quick 15 minute ride.
