Airport hotels are not what they used to be. My experience in the past was that most airport hotels are well-worn, with minimal service, and poor-quality amenities. And sometimes with beds that are no longer firm, aging out of their useful life cycle because of overuse and poor quality. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
My husband and I recently stayed at Comfort Suites Albuquerque Hotel. It was a most pleasant surprise when we saw how clean it was. Plus, it is convenient to the airport and very comfortable throughout the hotel. The entire staff was available to resolve issues, and I had a few but not really associated with the hotel. On everything, they exceeded my expectations.

The Bottom Line
The hotel is less than 1.5 miles from the airport, and you can connect easily with their courtesy shuttle. However, it is necessary to call as they do not have a regular shuttle run. Be sure and ask what the van looks like, because sometimes it will not have the name of the hotel on the outside. Albuquerque airport is somewhat small, so many hotels will share courtesy pickup vans.
Breakfast is ample and tasty. Coffee is flavorful.
The staff is extremely professional and courteous.
Be advised, that at the moment there are no restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. But a quick Uber ride will give you access to many chains such as Applebees. Currently, a bar/grill is being built within a quarter mile of the hotel and should be finished by July.
