A desert oasis located in California’s Coachella Valley, Palm Springs is full of spas, hotels, and resorts. People come to Palm Springs to relax and unwind, so a hotel like Alcazar that doesn’t take itself too seriously might be just what the doctor ordered.
A Boutique Hotel
Located in the Uptown Palm Springs District, Alcazar features 34 rooms, each equipped with imported Italian linens and flat screen TVs. From two queen beds with Jacuzzi to one king bed with private patio, Alcazar has rooms to fit every need and budget.
Quirks and Perks
The enclosed patios are smoker friendly, and for a $150 cleaning fee, you can light up inside. Some of the rooms at the Alcazar are dog-friendly, for a one-time pet fee of $50. You can kick back in a complimentary Alcazar robe while you lounge around the pool, or slip it in your bag to take home with you for $45. The traditional “Do Not Disturb” signs have been replaced with ones that give you the option to choose between snoozing, blogging about Cheeky’s, getting busy, procrastinating, hung over, or feeling antisocial.
A Fun Trifecta
Guests at Alcazar should find plenty to do in Palm Springs. The immediate area around Alcazar features the hotel, Birba’s restaurant and lounge, and Cheeky’s, where guests can get breakfast or lunch.
The Necessities
A daily $7 resort fee gets you overnight hotel parking, w-fi, daily coffee and pastries from Cheeky’s, and bicycle rentals.
