When you are driving down the highway, and you spot an Airstream travel trailer, have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in one? The Vintages Trailer Resort offers glamping in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. With 36 fully refurbished vintage trailers in Dayton, Oregon, you’ll be able to step back in time.
Open year-round, The Vintages Trailer Resort takes the guesswork out of recreational camping. That’s what glamping is, after all: glamorous camping. We pulled into the Dayton, Oregon Vintage Trailer Resort and were immediately swept up in nostalgia. From the vintage neon sign to the kitsch art and gifts in the General Store, you’ll leave your cares behind and begin to relax. While the fictional character Ward Cleaver of Leave It To Beaver sitcom fame will not be flipping burgers on the grill, you’ll appreciate the retro vibe around the country lane.
The resort offers Airstream, Spartan, Shasta and Neutron vintages trailers, situated in Willamette Valley’s wine country. There are 3 trailers with double beds for a girlfriend getaway or parents with kids. The Neutron V23 and V30 have soaking tubs. If you are looking for a top-of-the-line luxury stay, you’ll want to reserve V33, also known as the 1956 Spartan Royal Mansion, with an outdoor soaking tub.
All “hotel” guests have access to the General Store, which features local wine, beer, snacks, and locally-made souvenirs. At night, the lane lights up with white lights draped in the trees. Wander over to the communal fireside with three gas fire pits and Adirondack chairs. For a fun splurge, order the “Flock It To Me” lawn flamingos or the “Little Red Campfire Kit” with gourmet s’more fixins’, tabletop fire pit and a local bottle of Pinot Noir.
Speaking of Pinot Noir – we are in Willamette Valley wine country after all. Be sure to pick up the complimentary Vintages’ Tasting Passport, included with your stay. If you arrive before check-in, grab the passport and drive 2 miles to Sokol Blosser in Dayton, Oregon. During our visit, SB tastings would have cost $40 per person. Wine tastings are complimentary with the Vintages Passport. There are 8 wineries and a taproom included in the passport. Another high-end splurge not included in the passport program is The Four Graces wine tasting in nearby Dundee Hills. You’ll want to make an advance reservation for any Four Graces food and wine pairing program.
Vintages Trailer Resort amenities
Outdoor grills and bbq tools are included with all trailers. Additionally, 2 bright blue cruiser bikes are parked in a rack at each vintage trailer. It is requested that you stay on property with the bicycles.
If you are visiting in the summer, take advantage of the sparkling outdoor swimming pool. Here, you will also find the communal shower and bathroom facilities onsite. While private bathrooms and showers are in most trailers, my husband and I found the clean shower facilities a plus. Keep in mind that these are vintage trailers with small bathrooms and small hot water tanks. If you enjoy long, hot showers, head to the separate men’s and women’s building. Don’t forget your shower caddy in your hotel room closet. You’ll also find your plush robe, logo slippers, white cotton towel, and bath amenities in your room.
Hotel room accommodations
Just because you are glamping, doesn’t mean you don’t have luxury hotel amenities. We appreciated the clean white sheets, comfortable queen mattress and fluffy pillows. Trailers included Not Soap, Radio bath and body products, as well as makeup remover towelettes and a hair dryer. Each vintage trailer included a heater and ceiling mounted air conditioner.

Average rates for The Vintages Trailer Resort depend on the season. Expect to pay $89 – $479 from November to April. From May to October, the hotel rates range from $119 – $579. There is an additional fee for the pet-friendly property, as well as a $45 one-time cleaning fee.
While breakfast is not included with your stay, there is pour-over coffee in-room from Caravan Coffee, Steven Smith Tea and Ghirardelli premium hot cocoa mix, as well as a hot water kettle. There is a microwave oven, refrigerator and freezer, as well as flat-screen TV in room. WiFi is included with your stay. For the light sleepers, the resort includes a set of earplugs in room.
There is a rentable Clubhouse with a private patio, kitchen, meeting space, and entertainment area by the swimming pool. This might be fun for a family reunion, off-site meeting, or girlfriend getaway trip.
