Rooms at Ritz-Carlton Lake Oconee, Georgia
The variety of rooms at the Ritz-Carlton makes it easy to find something just right for your stay. Choose from rooms with king or queen rooms with lake views; kind or queen rooms with resort views and outdoor fit pits; club-level rooms with lake views and balconies, suites, lakeside cottages; and a four-bedroom lake house. I stayed with a group of five at one of the cottages with resort views. We had a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, patios in each room, Egyptian cotton linens, and goose-down pillows. Bathrooms in the cottages vary by room, as each had an en suite bath.
While it’s undeniable that many guests at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds come for the golf, there are many other reasons to stay, play, and indulge at this beautiful property.
Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds
The Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds is a 100-acre sporting facility designed by world champion shooter Justin Jones. Activities include clay shooting, an air rifle range, and an archery range. State-of-the-art equipment and professional instruction increase your odds of hitting the target, though I definitely could have used a bit more practice with the bow and arrow. Still, it was a fun way to test my skills without any pressure.
Other ways to enjoy the Sporting Grounds include kayaking, canoeing, or off-roading.
Golf at Reynolds Lake Oconee
If you have arrived at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Oconee to hit a few holes–there are ninety available to hotel guests–know that there’s on-site instruction, club fitting, and club building at The Kingdom at Reynolds Lake Oconee. I’m not a golfer, but I did indulge in an early morning ride around a couple of courses in one of the available golf carts. A few of the easily accessible and scenic courses include Great Waters and The National.
The Spa
The newly updated spa has an indoor swimming pool, salon, and state-of-the-art gym. The refreshed spa menu includes invigorating body treatments such as body wraps, masks, and scrubs, specialized massages that cater to personalized wellness goals, custom-tailored facials, and four new signature wellness treatments—from the tech-driven Deep Rest Treatment to a detoxifying and relaxing Forest & Clay Restoration Treatment.
Other wellness opportunities include water meditation, guided yoga, and lakeside hikes.
