Located on the southern end of the Tel Aviv promenade, the 480-room Dan Panorama Tel Aviv Hotel offers travelers access to many of the city’s attractions and rooms with a Mediterranean or city view. After a few days of touring Galilee by bus, I arrived at the skyscraping, recently renovated Dan Panorama Tel Aviv Hotel thrilled to be in one hotel for 5 consecutive nights

Although primarily a business and conference hotel, leisure travelers will also find this Israeli hotel’s convenient location in the heart of the city and its competitive rates difficult to resist.
Location
Although not beachfront, the Mediterranean and its coastal promenade were literally across the street. Location, location, location makes this an ideal hotel for both business and leisure travelers in Israel. Old Jaffa is a 10 minutes away, and also nearby are Charles Clore Garden, Rabin Memorial, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Azrieli Center and Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theatre. A stroll along the coastal promenade leads to the flea market, scenic harbor of ancient Jaffa, or to the outdoor cafés of Tel Aviv – priceless!

Arrival at Dan Panorama
The property recently underwent a renovation including the tired reception and lobby area, creating a modern and welcoming entrance with wood and onyx highlights, although the contemporary design can be a bit overwhelming. Valet and bell staff greeted us quickly, and then we were directed to a private entrance for group check-in, just off the reception. However, a quick look at the reception desk, noted a short line, but everyone seemed to be checking-in and receive room keys within 10-15 minutes.
A member of the bell staff walked me and my luggage to my room, but rooms are easily accessible from the elevator off the lobby. Take the stairs nearby to the second floor’s meeting rooms, but also their “elevated lobby” with views of the sea, well-stocked bar, giant video screen, billiard table and piano – a great setting to kick back and relax.
This elevated lobby was also where a hosted brunch took place, another perfect setting with pockets of seating conducive to networking.
Dan Hotel Accommodations
The 480 guest rooms have also been transformed, again with a modern and chic flare. My accommodations were a deluxe room with a king-size bed, work desk with a chair, and an oversized bathroom. Plenty of space to spread my belongings out and regroup after 3 days of different hotel rooms. Wireless internet is available for a fee. Complimentary daily newspaper and a multi-line phones with voice mail are another business-focused perk.
However, the best feature of the room was the corner balcony, albeit small, but with a tremendous view of the Mediterranean and the promenade! Wow! Each room does offer a balcony with beach, sea or city views.

The two top floors are Carmel Lounge providing executive access for guests in Suites and Executive rooms, offering free snack and drinks – and an 18thfloor view. Also new are the deluxe and executive sea view smart rooms with a min-Pc and free Internet surfing.

Tel Aviv Hotel Dining
Breakfast buffet is included in your room charge, and this spread was one of the most comprehensive and tasty breakfast buffet ever!An espresso/cappuccino station to the back. A salad bar lines the front – with multiple salads, fruits, yogurt, vegetables, and hummus. American breakfast options – eggs, etc – also available. Seriously, a person could eat here and be set for the day!
Other dining options included 2 bars/lounges, a restaurant, and a poolside bar, although I didn’t sample any of these.

Amenities
Additional amenities include a seasonal large pool and sundeck, health and fitness center with a sauna and Jacuzzi. A complimentary children’s club (Danyland) is also a great bonus for families.
It’s important to note that the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv is a huge conference and meeting facility and my visit was business-focused. However, there were also families and other leisure guests roaming the hotel, and I didn’t find either distracting.
Summary
The Dan Panorama Tel Aviv is a gorgeous, recently renovated property, and the convenience to access all that is Tel Aviv from Jaffa to the walkable promenade makes it appealing to both business and leisure travelers. The inclusive breakfast buffet is a decided perk, yet it was the view of the Mediterranean from my hotel room’s balcony that fed my soul each morning.
