One of a handful of independent Boston hotels, the Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center is an eco-conscious property built for business travelers, but catering to leisure weekend guests with family-friendly programs and staff. Located near the Convention Center, the waterfront hotel offers convenient access to all major points of interest including the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and the North End.
Boston’s Seaport Hotel
Arrival
We arrived late Thursday afternoon at Logan International Airport, and it was a simple 20-minute transfer on the Silver Line to the North Station adjacent to the hotel. We exited the bus directly across from the back entrance of our Boston hotel. The hotel entry signage was obscure, so we lugged our luggage up the hill toward the convention center before realizing the Seaport was right where we started. We trudged back to enter from a side door leading to the second-floor meeting space.
We took an elevator down to the lobby and finally were able to check-in (slightly frustrated). The receptionist also notified us of the unique no-tipping policy. The lobby is small but elegant, and I immediately noticed the impressive floral arrangements.
Accommodations at Seaport Hotel in Boston
When we entered our room, the automatic motion-sensor lights came on without us hitting a switch – much appreciated after returning from dinner later that evening! Our deluxe double accommodations with lime-green and red decor are some of the biggest in the city, especially for the three of us – me, my hubby, and adult daughter. Marble bathrooms, Bose radios, and laptop safes rounded out the extras. After a long flight, also appreciated were the pillow-top mattresses and the much-needed rest.
Although our view was sadly overlooking the North Station, we heard the views of the city or harbor from floors above us in the 18-story building are breathtaking. A desk in the corner was the perfect size to log into the complimentary Wi-Fi. We flipped on the flat screen to relax and were surprised to see Logan Airport flight information on the screen, very handy for travelers.

Amenities
Our stay was brief, basically overnight, but we did appreciate the opportunity to store our luggage for free while we explored Boston the next morning before checking in to the next hotel.
Other amenities worth mentioning are the restaurant café, lounge, bikes, health club, spa, and 50-foot indoor pool. The hotel does offer a shuttle to downtown, and of course, the eco-friendly water taxi service is steps away.

A gift shop, coffee bar (Seaport Cafe), more formal restaurant (Aura), and casual bar/restaurant with some outdoor seating (Tame) are located on-site.
Boston Seaport Hotel Summary
The Boston Seaport Hotel is an affordable city hotel close to the airport. The convention center and Downtown/Financial District is a short walk across the bridge. For those looking for nightlife and more activity, it is a bit remote and a brisk 30 + minute walk to Rowes Wharf, Faneuil Hall, and the North End. But the staff did make the visit stand out with their genuine welcome and friendliness. We had dinner plans in the North End, and the concierge took time to map the quickest path.
