Set in the heart of Geneva’s theatre and cultural district, the Art Deco-style Tiffany Hotel is a full-service hotel with a range of amenities perfect for a short break or a longer stay. The hotel is close to many of Geneva’s main attractions, including the Patek Philippe museum, the English Garden, and Mont Blanc bridge. However, with so many amenities onsite, you might find it harder to leave the hotel than you’d expect.
Rooms come in several sizes: solo, classic, superior, deluxe, junior suite, and studio suite. My room, a deluxe room, had a comfortable bed, cozy window seat sitting area with a small table, a work desk with electric outlets, and a spacious closet for storage.
Suites also have spacious seating areas with table, sofa and armchairs, and bathrooms with bathtub or Jacuzzi. My bathroom was small but adequate, with a hairdryer and a glass shower. All rooms include complimentary WiFi and flatscreen TVs.
Onsite, there’s a fitness center and spa with sauna and hammam, multi-sensory lounge chair, and massages available on request. Multiple lounges provide communal space for relaxation.
In the Tiffany Lounge, adjacent to the Tiffany restaurant, the English-style pub is open for coffee, tea, and evening drinks. Though the hotel boasts about the lounge’s self-service wine dispensers (load up a pre-paid card and sample to your heart’s content), during my visit it wasn’t available. Staff were able to operate it to provide a sample for me, but they were unable to load up my own card to use.
Despite that disappointment, I enjoyed my time in the lounge, and after full day of sightseeing it was nice to have the option to eat at the on-site Tiffany restaurant which is adorned with the namesake glass throughout.
My husband and I shared a plate of risotto and chicken with a morel cream sauce with asparagus; both were well-prepared and delicious. Room service is available and there’s an attached outdoor terrace open on nice days.
Where the hotel really shines is in the extras: guests can request complimentary toiletries and frequent guests can even store belongings at the hotel in between visits. Pets are welcome, and on Sundays the hotel offers late check-out (at 2pm, pending availability). Breakfast to Go is available for those with an early start. And all guests receive a free Geneva public transport pass. Reception and concierge services, as well as porter service and valet parking, are available all day.
If you go: Room rates start at around $300 US. Book directly online with the hotel. Or, you can compare rates and book through the various booking sites such as Expedia or Booking.com.
