Expect Convenience & Smiles at Best Western Plus Cottontree Inn

My husband and I were making the long drive from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Portland, Oregon to see our new grandchild. Typically, we break up the road trip by staying two nights along the way. We also include some sightseeing as in this part of the country there is some magnificent scenery along the route.

This time we decided for a long haul drive with only one stop in North Salt Lake City, Utah. This, we figured positioned us best so that we only needed a one night hotel stay on the road. We wanted to ensure our one-night was restful so that we would tackle another long day of driving early the next morning.

Convenience & Comfort

When we pulled off the highway, the Best Western Plus Cottontree Inn had a warm, welcoming entrance yet one that is very sleek, with modern lines.

The lobby was inviting and comfortable. This is the area where a full hot breakfast is served daily in the most comfortable surroundings. Each morning has a new specialty breakfast item.

Check-in was effortless. I was immediately impressed at the professionalism of the staff, all who seemed very well-trained and all who were extremely helpful. Everyone of them had a smile.

The Rates

Rates can vary depending on day of the week, time of the year, and room type. Rates were available for $107 on Hotels.com and Expedia. Or you can book onsite with Best Western for discounts and special offers. Discounts are offered to Government & Military, AARP, and AAA members.

Considering that most hotels seem to charge $150 upwards post-Covid, this is an excellent rate with quite the value. However, be advised that the hotel is close to the interstate and rooms can be noisy I am told. I requested a quieter room in the newer section of the hotel to ensure a restful night. The downside is that there is no elevator in the newer section. But the trek up to the second level for a quiet night’s sleep was well worth it.
