Stowe, Vermont is a great place for a summer family vacation – there are loads of great family activities and the summer weather is generally gorgeous. The local Stowe area offers skiing, alpine sliding, miniature golf, zip lining, and food factory tours. The Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa, located right in Stowe, is the perfect resort for girlfriend getaways, corporate retreats, and family vacations.
I had the chance to visit the Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa last summer with my family. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the local area as well as the resort.
My favorite amenity at the Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa is the spa – one of the nicest spas I’ve ever visited. It includes a relaxing waiting area, a co-ed Aqua Solarium (with a mineral soaking tub and waterfall), thirty treatment rooms, a fitness center, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and a beautiful spa courtyard. You could easily plan a couples weekend or a girlfriend getaway at the spa, and then stay all weekend at the resort.
The Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa also has two on-site restaurants, a 9-hole golf course, a spa shop, and a gift shop. Accommodations include luxury and deluxe guestrooms, townhouses, suites, and townhouses. Our room, a standard hotel room, included a gas fireplace, refrigerator, bathrooms, wired internet, and deluxe bath amenities. My kids loved the outdoor pool and playground, and the courtyard was a big hit with them.
