Little River, California is located near the coastal town of Mendocino and has a population of around 115 – in other word’s the town is tiny, but friendly. Located on the scenic CA Route 1, Little River is home to the Little River Inn. The Inn has been in the family for five generations, and doesn’t intend to change the tradition anytime soon.
The history behind Little River Inn
Current innkeeper Cally Dym is a fifth-generation proprietor. Cally’s great-great-grandfather built the original house on the property in 1863, and her grandparents turned the house into an inn seven decades ago.
Little River Inn today
The current Inn features 66 ocean view rooms, 2 one-bedroom suites, and a two-bedroom suite. Little River Inn offers plenty of ways to keep guests busy and entertained. Vacationers may eat at the Inn’s restaurant and bar, play a round of golf on the 9-hole course, hit a few tennis balls on the courts, hike the surrounding nature trails, visit nearby Mendocino, or simply relax at the day spa. If you are staying on Mother’s Day or Father’s Day the whole family will receive a free round of golf – yours for the asking.
If you’re looking to make your trip a little more romantic, Little River Inn’s hot tubs and in-room fireplaces might be just what you need to ignite that spark.
