When visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico, it is important to be strategic about your hotel choice. There are many choices for many price points, but some may have you far removed from the action. However, if you are looking for a cultural immersion that offers luxurious surroundings and native American cuisine and art, no hotel in Santa Fe equals what you can experience at the Native American-Owned & Operated Hotel Santa Fe The Hacienda & Spa.
The hotel provides complimentary parking and shuttle service. Do yourself a favor and use the shuttle service when you visit the Plaza, Museum Hill, or the many art galleries on Canyon Drive. Location is important if you don’t want to drive or pay for taxis. Strategically located near the Plaza and museums,
This is the only Native American-owned hotel in downtown Santa Fe and has offered culture-seeking travelers some of the best in art, cuisine, architecture, and immersive tours. Located in Santa Fe’s Railyard District, the one-of-a-kind hotel features onsite spa services, gourmet dining options, and free WiFi. A pool, hot tub, and outdoor gardens offer guests even more relaxation.
Professionally trained butlers are available. Hotel Santa Fe features on-site ceremonial dance performances, historical storytelling, and a gift shop that features handmade crafts. Guests can also enjoy relaxing around the outdoor fireplace and listening to live Native American music. Guests at the Hotel Santa Fe can also enjoy Native American-inspired cuisine at Amaya Restaurant or cocktails at Amaya Bar.
I have already mentioned the complimentary shuttle service, but other amenities abound. The hotel features an award-winning Native American art collection throughout the property. A spa is onsite, offering a variety of beauty and wellness treatments. There is a fitness center. Private Teepee Dining is available, as is butler service in the Haciendas. Each Hacienda-style guest room feature fireplaces and seating areas. The bedroom is spacious with quality bedding that ensures a restful night.
My husband, teenage daughter and I tremendously enjoyed the convenience of Hotel Santa Fe Hacienda & Spa. Our suite was spacious and yet comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary Happy Hour each night for Hacienda guests, which featured juices, wine, cheeses, crackers, and chicken wings. A toasty fireplace complimented all this. Complimentary breakfast is also served at the Hacienda and features a variety of breads, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, and fruit. This comfy amenity ended up being one of our favorites at the hotel.
As I mentioned earlier, one of the reasons we love Hotel Santa Fe so much is the strategic location in Santa Fe. It is convenient to most Santa Fe attractions. Once settled in, be sure to explore the food, history, art, architecture and outdoor adventure of Santa Fe. It’s like traveling to a foreign country but with the convenience of being in the U.S.
Ask the hotel about special days and itineraries they can arrange in the oldest city in New Mexico, such as Skiing Day, Western Day, Native American Day, Spa & Shopping Day, Spiritual Santa Fe Day, Food & Dining Day, and Museums & Culture. The City Different was established as a Spanish provincial capital and is adorned with adobe buildings and a culture that weaves Native American, Anglo, and Hispanic heritage into a rich cultural experience.
