When in Bogota, location is extremely important as to where you stay, otherwise you will find it difficult to get around. The Hilton Bogota Corferias is convenient to the airport as well as the downtown financial district.
As the city is counted as one of the five largest cities in South America, it is also a city bounded by mountains. This results in a metropolitan area plagued with major traffic issues and grid-like congestion.
A friend said that the traffic issues were some of the worst in the world and will sorely challenge the patience of any traveler or visitor. So, when in Bogota, be sure to choose your hotel location wisely. As one of the newer hotels, Hilton Bogota Corferias is conveniently located in the heart of the financial district.

The Hilton Bogota Corferias is one of two Hilton hotels in Bogota and is the newest. The other is the Central Hilton Bogota.
My husband and I attended a week-long conference in Bogota and stayed at the Hilton. It served as our home base for several daily tours of the city as well. We couldn’t have been happier with the hotel site as convenience and business luxury defined our entire stay.
The hotel showcases culturally inspired design throughout the modernly-spacious hotel, offering luxurious comfort and convenience for guests who want to explore the city. Recently built in 2019, it offers a total of 410 guest rooms, with 16 floors.
Amenities abound here and include free parking, free WiFi, concierge, spa, executive lounge, on-site restaurant, indoor swimming pool, hot tub, fitness center, and room service.

The hotel is specially designed for accommodating large conferences and breakout meeting spaces.
It is well-equipped to support conferences of all types – large and small. There are many well-designed public areas for casual conversation, some are designed for more intimate conversation, along with a business center and meeting rooms. They also have a Ballroom on site, and it is a great choice for weddings.
Featured hotel amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A 24-hour round-trip airport shuttle is provided for a modest surcharge. Or, if you bring your car, free self-parking is available onsite.
24-Hour Front Desk at Hilton Bogota Corferias
The front desk is open 24 hours and has both English and Spanish-speaking receptionists.
I found the concierge service to be some of the best, as they helped with all types of details for me, from finding hair salons to where we could shop and dine. They all spoke flawless English.
A Bountiful Breakfast Buffet
Whatever you do, be sure to try the breakfast buffet. It is served each morning in the restaurant on the second floor. One of the best I have ever eaten anywhere, the spread includes all types of tropical fruits and freshly-baked breads to Colombian and American dishes with meats and eggs. The choices are mind-boggling.
The Room
My husband and I checked into our Guest room with 1 king bed. It was quite spacious by hotel standards, with 373 square feet that included a King-sized bed with a beautiful view of the city.
The natural modern décor includes features such as Hilton serenity bed, 250 thread count sheets, and a complimentary pillow menu upon request.
The bathroom has a rain shower. Plus, there is a radio with USB connection, chair and ottoman, as well as a programmable air-conditioning and heating system.
For those who bring work with them, each room comes equipped with a convenient workspace, an in-room coffee maker, high-speed internet access, and mini refrigerator.
Quality entertainment is covered too, as each room includes a 50-inch HDTV, in-room movie channel, on-demand movies, and cable TV.
Nancy Salon for Beauty, Spa and Make-Up
One of my favorite services is Nancy Salon, located several blocks away by the convention center. It is a combination beauty salon, spa, and make-up store for hair, skin, and body care. With specially trained hair technicians, stylists, beauticians, and manicurists, they also use high-quality products to guarantee results.
The hotel can book appointments for you. Or, if you prefer, the concierge can arrange for clinicians to come directly to the hotel. All services offered are well below prices you might pay in the United States.
I booked a deep-cleaning facial as well as several hair salon treatments so I would look my best at the conference proceedings. I was so pleased with my hair botox treatment that I walked-in the next day for a facial and eyebrow enhancement. Intrigued, my husband had his first facial and was also very pleased with the results.
