There’s no need to delegate Valentine’s Day as the one day a year to pair chocolate with a hotel stay. Particularly, when there are hotels that take the chocolate celebration to a higher plane. Here are three hotels where chocolate and slumber are paired year round and romance may or may not be included.
At The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the Hershey’s Kiss on each guest’s pillow is just the start of chocolate goodness. Head to the hotel’s spa for the deluxe chocolate experience.
Opened 10 years ago, The Spa at the Hotel Hershey has a treatment menu that reads like desserts. There’s the Whipped Cocoa Bath, the Cocoa Facial Experience, and the Chocolate Massage for starters. There’s also Chocolate Bean Polish,Chocolate Sugar Scrub, Chocolate Fondue Wrap and more. These deliciously decadent treatments range from $50 to $190.
In addition to the spa, The Hotel Hershey, on the Historic Hotels of America list, was built in 1933 and is a AAA Four Diamond award winner with 276 guest rooms and 10 cottages. Here, along with chocolate, luxury is served up with Egyptian cotton linens, feather duvets and signature bath amenities.
The resort also has an abundance of things to do. Golf courses, indoor and outdoor recreational activities, including ice-skating, tennis, kids’ activities and hiking trails could keep people of all ages busy for days.
During the winter season, room rates range from $249 for a single room to $349 for a double. Kids 17 and under are free.

To eat chocolate in all its forms and glory, head to Café Fleuri at The Langham in downtown Boston. The Langham, originally built as a bank in Renaisance Revival style in 1922 was converted to a luxury hotel in 1981.The hotel’s restaurant, Café Fleuri becomes chocolate heaven on Saturday afternoons when The Chocolate Bar is a feature of the all-you-can-eat buffet. The chocolate inspired desserts include: Langham Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding, Truffles, Cotton Candy, Whoopie Pies, and more–much more.
After eating, work off the chocolate fix at the hotel’s indoor swimming pool, fitness center or spa.
The Langham has 7 room options from the Classic Room with one queen-sized bed to the Presidential Suite. Rates start at $249. Compare prices at Hotels.com.
On the other side of the Atlantic, The Chocolate Boutique Hotel in Bournemouth, U.K. is centered on chocolate. Possibly, it’s the only chocolate- themed hotel in the world.
Each of the 13 guest rooms, from singles to suites, include daily chocolate with optional add-ons. Consider a chocolate fountain, a slab of chocolate with a handwritten message and chocolate inspired cocktails.
To heighten the chocolate experience, book a stay during a Chocolate Weekend. These weekends–usually the last weekend of February, March, September, October and November include a two-night stay accompanied with a welcome party, a chocolate history lesson, chocolate making workshops, chocolate tastings and breakfast where chocolate pancakes are served.
The Chocolate Boutique Hotel’s regular room rates are £65 for a single to £170 for a suite. To contact for a reservation, click here.
