Located in the heart of Turin in a renovated 1870 building across from the city’s train station, the Turin Palace Hotel is a luxury hotel close to all of the city’s main attractions. Each of the rooms in the four-star hotel is decorated in soft pastel tones with rich accents, and from the lobby to the dining room, style and comfort blend seamlessly together.
The first thing I noticed upon arrival was the beautiful lobby lounge with soaring ceilings, beautiful hardwood floods, rich velvet furniture, and plenty of natural light.
The style and feeling of modern luxury carried over to my room. There are several different room categories—including triple rooms, rooms with sofa beds, and fifth-floor rooms with patios—but I found my Superior room had everything I needed, and then some. The room itself was incredibly spacious, with a King bed with a Simmons pillow-top mattress and 100% cotton bedding, two end tables, and a sitting area with a cozy armchair and a lacquered table. Across from the bed was a large flat-screen TV.The bathroom was equally spacious, and there was a generously sized closet that would have easily fit every single item my husband and I packed for our 10-day trip. The room also had all the standard amenities: coffee and tea machine, hair dryer, a safe, and a robe and slippers. I especially appreciated the free minibar stocked with snacks and cold drinks.
Onsite, there’s a fitness center and a spa with hydromassage whirlpool tubs, sensory showers, and a sauna. There’s also an onsite restaurant serving lunch and dinner, as well as daily breakfast, which is complimentary for guests and included everything from fresh pastry to eggs to (this being Turin, a capital of chocolate production) a massive spread of artisanal chocolates.
It would be hard to choose a favorite element of the hotel, but the great location, beautiful rooms, and delicious breakfast would be among the contenders—as would be the sprawling terrace, which offers drinks and light bites, plus stunning views of Turin the surrounding hills. With friendly, helpful staff, a gorgeous sense of style, and an ideal location for touring Turin, the Turn Palace Hotel makes a great base in this northern Italian city.
