Kitchen with white quartz countertop. Gray cloth sofa with 2 throw pillows is adjacent to kitchen counter. Four full-length glass picture windows lead out to the balcony, overlooking the pine forest. A brown leather chair and floor lamp are to the left of the sofa and right of the electric fireplace. A flatscreen tv is above the fireplace.

We selected Paradise in the Pines because we were looking for a budget-friendly place that could entertain golfers and folks who like to lounge by the pool. While situated on Seventh Mountain Resort, Grand Welcome managed our multi-day stay. We were instructed via e-mail to check in at the resort reception area. Here, we were greeted by a friendly staff and given our keys and a map of the Seventh Mountain Resort amenities.

We had booked a 1-bedroom standard in building 15, unit #1521. Our privately owned condominium could sleep 6 people. It had a private bedroom with a queen bed and a single bathroom with a walk-in shower. The single vanity was directly across from the bed.

The kitchen includes a full size stainless steel refrigerator, oven with microwave oven above stovetop. Therre is a sink and dishwasher. The kitchen counter has 4 chairs and 2 wood stools at either end of the island counter.

Additionally, there was a murphy bed tucked into the wall to the right of the front door entrance. The double sofa bed was situated in the living room, directly across from the kitchen. I imagine this unit would feel like close quarters at full occupancy. It was perfect for a couple or a family with small children.

The guest bathroom featured a tub/shower combination. Both bathrooms included wall-mounted shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner from MasonNovo. A hairdryer was also supplied.

One of two outdoor swimming pools on property. This rectangular pool had 8 chaise lounges and 2 cloth umbrellas at the deep end of the pool. Between the pool and the hot tub were more chaise lounges and 2 cloth umbrellas that were not fully opened. The fenced pool was surrounded by mature trees.

Paradise in the Pines Seventh Mountain Resort amenities

Seventh Mountain Resort has been around since I was a child. Currently, Wyndham owns the resort. You’ll see a mix of hotel guests, as well as owners throughout the property. As such, there were pink wristbands in our room for hotel guests to utilize some of the resort amenities.

The Seventh Mountain Resort featured two outdoor swimming pools, a disc golf course, tennis, pickleball, and a mountain bike pump track. The Seventh Mountain Rafting company is on the property and will deliver you and your friends to a Deschutes whitewater adventure that courses through five rapids – for an additional fee.

Back in the day, horseback riding was offered on site. Those days are gone, but horseback riding is available nearby at Black Butte Stables, as well as Sunriver Resort. There’s also outstanding horseback riding near Smith Rock, as well as hiking.
