Year-round Adventure at Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole

Four Seasons Jackson Hole

Few destinations capture the Western vibe as well as Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Just getting off the plane gives you a jaw-dropping view of the Tetons—one of the most spectacular airport runway views in the world. When it comes to settling in, head to the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, where you have the perfect opportunity to relax in luxury, and also find your own Western adventure.

Located in Teton Village, right at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the Four Seasons offers easy access to a handful of tasty dining options, as well as winter skiing and summer activities. Don’t forget what an amazing home base you have, however, and enjoy the three restaurants (and one lounge), outdoor lounging areas, swimming pool (with three headed whirlpools), spa and fitness center.

Four Seasons Jackson Hole loungingMost of the Four Seasons’ 124 guest rooms open to a private balcony or terrace, allowing you to let the outdoors in, no matter the season. Choose between mountain, valley, or resort view rooms for your favorite view. All rooms have gas-burning fireplaces for the romance, and a comfortable work area for travelers who need to please the office without having to balance their laptops while sitting in bed. In addition, rooms include flat-screen TVs, DVD player, connection for an MP3 player, Wi-Fi ($10/day per device for regular access; $18/day per device for high-speed access), thick robes, down duvets and pillows, coffee/tea maker, and twice daily housekeeping service. Rates start from $219 per night, and vary depending on dates and length of stay.

In summer, go stargazing, kayaking, fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking and more. The resort’s Base Camp can make sure you have all the gear you need. In winter, that same Base Camp ski-in/ski-out service gets you kitted out with skis, boards and boots for epic ski days on the mountain—just steps from the Bridger Gondola, Eagle’s Rest and Teewinot chairlifts. Not a skier? Check out some snowshoes, a dog sled ride, or tubing options.

Four Seasons Jackson Hole Handle BarWhile there are many don’t-miss experiences at the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, one that especially stands out is the Wildlife Safari. Head out in a Mercedes Benz equipped with spotting scopes, binoculars and gourmet wraps prepared by the resort’s chefs. Your naturalist guide will give insights about the flora and fauna, geology and history of the ecosystem, and you’ll have the opportunity to view elk, bison, bears, wolves, mountain lions, bighorn sheep, bald eagles, owls and other rare birds. An awesome experience for everyone, it’s especially fun for families.

Satisfy your hunger at The Handle Bar, Westbank Grill, or the Pool Café—all offering seasonal selections of grilled meat, game and fish. My favorite, The Handle Bar, is an American pub and beer hall, placed perfectly for après enjoyment. And speaking of après, don’t miss an appointment in the spa. My therapeutic (deep-tissue) massage was exactly the right way to relax after a fat powder ski day.
